A Leadership Void

Leadership is a double-edged sword. Great leadership can truly produce great results, with benefits beyond the bottom line. Poor leadership can sink companies.

Without a strong culture of leadership, teams are often rudderless. Without a chain of command with clear instructions, individuals will act on their own accord towards their own interests.

Leadership needs to be enforced from the start, and individual team members need to understand their role and how to operate in a team basis. Without this structure, teams will fail to move towards the same goal. Unfortunately, poor leadership is difficult to combat once a team has been constructed and the negative effects are difficult to resolve.
